The screens
The plan editor
The sections of your plan, what each one controls, and how saving, undo and the completeness check work.
The plan editor, titled Your plan, holds everything the projections use. Every change saves automatically and can be undone with the undo button at the top of the screen, or with Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac).
Plan complete
A Plan complete card shows how much of your plan is filled in. It lists gaps marked as high, medium or low impact. Start with the high-impact ones. They change your results the most.
The sections
| Section | What it holds |

| Spending | Essentials and flexible items with priorities, one-time goals, and spending that changes with age |
| Accounts | Every account with owner, type, balance, cost basis and contributions |
| Social Security | Each person's benefit source and claiming age |
| Debts and home | Mortgages, loans and property, including property you'd sell if needed |
| Healthcare | Coverage before Medicare, marketplace premiums, Medicare and out-of-pocket costs |
| Spending strategy | How spending adjusts in retirement, such as steady spending or guardrails |
| Saving and withdrawal order | Your cash buffer, where surplus cash goes, and which accounts pay for spending |
| Taxes and where you live | Filing status, state, planned moves, Roth conversions and how tax brackets grow |
| Market and inflation assumptions | Expected returns, volatility, inflation, asset mix and the simulation method |
Each section page has a ← Plan link back to the list.
Defaults are marked
Assumptions you haven't set yourself show a "using a default" marker. Defaults are starting points, not forecasts. The market defaults are 8.5% a year for US and international stocks and 4.5% for bonds, before inflation, with 2.5% general inflation. Healthcare costs rise faster by default.
Priorities in spending
Each flexible item has a priority. When a spending strategy lowers your budget in a bad year, the lowest-priority items are cut first. Within the same priority, items are cut in proportion. Essentials aren't cut unless you allow it.
Scenarios
If a scenario is active, edits apply to the scenario, not your base plan. The scenario selector at the top of the screen shows which one you're editing. See scenarios.
Other plan screens
From the plan editor you can also open Rules, Insurance, Estate and Scenarios.
